Topics discussed within here are done from a place of curiosity. Everything here really does matter to me. The knowledge that I have inherited, I wish to share here because I believe it is critical in our current day and age where it is all behind a pay wall, billion ads are there to distract you or outrageous hooks to manipulate you into staying addicted to the doomscroll. I would like this to be a platform for my thinking to become more critical.
You are the sky. Everything else - it's just the weather.
The weather is an ever-changing phenomenon that is incredibly unpredictable, which is why a weatherman will always have a job. To willingly attach yourself to things out of your control and allow it to have power over you is unwise. Your mind should be seen as the sky and the thoughts as the weather, the forecast that you act upon is what the world below sees. It is completely okay to feel an emotion such as hurt, betrayal, anger or sadness but how you act upon it is the type of person you are - if someone passes a rude remark towards you it has nothing to do with you and is only a projection from their inner world, which must be as bad as the storms on jupiter. You can feel hurt but the reaction you give shouldn't give power to their ego.
Hannah Arendt was a humanist thinker who believed in the act of pausing and discerning the type of information that we are fed and to take a sense of responsiblity for the world we inhabit. The act of sharing is fundamental to our survival, social connection and well-being. Therefore, she believed that knowledge should be shared without any form of gatekeeping.
